Where are your antenatal classes held?
Our antenatal classes are held in Etchingham, East Sussex, welcoming families from Battle, Hastings, Bexhill, Rye and surrounding villages. Full venue details are provided after booking.
When should I book antenatal classes?
Most families book between 20 and 30 weeks of pregnancy. Booking early helps secure your place in a small group and ensures you complete the course before your due date.
How are your classes different from NCT?
Bloom & Begin classes are midwife-led, evidence-based and intentionally small. Sessions focus on practical, realistic preparation for pregnancy, birth and early parenthood in a calm and supportive environment.
What topics are covered in the course?
The course covers pregnancy changes, stages of labour, pain relief options, birth preferences, partner support, early postnatal recovery, feeding basics and practical baby first aid guidance.
Can I attend if I don’t live in Etchingham?
Yes. Many families travel from Battle, Hastings and across East Sussex to attend. The venue is easily accessible from surrounding towns.
Are partners welcome?
Yes. Partners are warmly encouraged to attend, as sessions are designed to prepare you both for birth and early parenting together.
Meet Your Course Leader
I’m Olivia, a qualified midwife and Community Public Health Nurse, and mum to a toddler. I bring both clinical experience and personal parent perspective to the classes, creating a calm, evidence-based, and supportive space for families.
